JPA Five Towns Lead Member

Anna Khavulya immigrated in 1992 from St. Petersburg Russia, where for six months before immigration she attended a Jewish Day School. While this was her only Jewish education until adulthood, she always had interest in Judaism and bringing the spark to the Russian speaking jewish community.  As an undergraduate student at NYU, Anna established the Russian Club under the umbrella of NYU Hillel. In its very first year, she organized Passover seder, welcoming more than 30 Russian-speaking Jewish students, many of whom had never before experienced this cherished tradition.    Throughout her adult life she continued to be involved in the Russian speaking Jewish Community with focus to empower those who, like her, came to America as children, and the next generation, to explore Judaism and embrace their place within the tribe.

Anna has undergraduate and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and is currently Director of Platform Analytics & Insights at FTI Consulting. She grew up in Brooklyn but now lives in Woodmere, LI with her husband and 3 kids.

Diana Kopach

JPA Five Towns Lead Member

My name is Diana Kopach, and I am a proud Bukharian Jew, wife, and mother of four incredible children. I also happen to be a holistic and integrative dentist at Mineola Dental Wellness, where I get to treat truly wonderful individuals. I have had the privilege of being a part of the 2023 JPA cohort and taking part in learning more about our incredibly tumultuous past, pondering our present, and discussing what our future may hold. In light of more recent events, I am truly looking forward to what the 2024 semester has lined up and how we can help shape the future for our children.
